Tuition

All drama lessons are taught by experienced, professional and well-qualified teaching staff, based on either half hourly or hourly lessons and are tailor-made to suit individual requirements.

Students may follow a general Speech and Drama lesson based study whereby they work through various graded examination courses (LAMDA), alternating between Acting, Verse and Prose and Public Speaking.  A well-grounded student will learn to build skills in all these areas.

Courses of Study

LAMDA examinations in Acting, Verse & Prose, Public Speaking, Shakespeare Awards (all levels up to & including diploma).

ACTING CLASSES For the performer in you!  Learn about yourself through the study of others.

VERSE & PROSE A study of a wide range of literature and poetry.  Compliments English studies at school.

READING FOR PERFORMANCE For those who love literature and poetry without the need for memorizing words.

PUBLIC SPEAKING An invaluable tool to develop speaking skills for interviews and the world of business.

SHAKESPEARE Explore the genius of the Bard! Preparation for Lamda Shakespeare Awards.

VOICEWORK Vocal techniques aiding confidence in speaking. Reduction of Speech faults.

AUDITIONS/INTERVIEWS For those contemplating drama school, drama scholarships or professional work.

FESTIVAL ENTRY  An opportunity to prepare work and perform in numerous competitive classes at the

Bristol Festival of Music & Drama, Devizes Eisteddfod, Royal Wootton Bassett Festival, MidSomerset Festival.

ELOCUTION FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS For those wishing to improve their grammar, accent reduction & improving pronunciation.

Fees & Terms of Business:

All lessons to be paid for in advance.  Cancellations will be charged for unless 48 hrs notice is provided.

Regular Individual one on one (half-Hour lessons) £25.00 per lesson (£50.00 p.h)

Regular Duo Half-Hourly lessons £15.00 per person per lesson

One on one Audition Technique/Diplomas & One-off lessons charged at £60.00 p.h.

Elocution individual bespoke lessons £50.00 per hour

Many students enjoy working towards an academic award as this provides them with a sense of achievement. We are a LAMDA registered centre which means students are able to take their exams in a comfortable and familiar place. The Lamda qualifications are carefully graded and develop excellent communication skills in a range of subjects whilst providing UCAS points from Level 3.  This provides added value in the qualification based environment in which we now live.  Examination preparation is not however mandatory and lessons are arranged based upon the requirements of each and every individual.

Corporate tuition in public speaking, voice work or confidence building

£75.00 per hour. Small groups £200 per hour. Half Day workshop £500.
